Puff, Puff, Apple Tart

We love apple pie, but sometimes you don't want to deal with all the work it takes to make pie dough. It's time for puff pastry to shine! This apple tart recipe is a quick and easy way to satisfy your apple pie cravings without doing all that dough-rolling.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 apples, peeled and sliced very thin (we used Honeycrisp for this recipe)

  • 1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 pinch of kosher salt

Directions


  1. Heat oven to 400

  2. Thaw puff pastry according to directions

  3. Toss apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.

  4. Cut the puff to your preferred size. Quarters are perfect for packing in lunchboxes or eating during your work commute.

  5. Arrange the apple slices on the pastry rectangles in a straight line, overlapping.

  6. Place puff pastry on parchment paper and bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.

  7. Top with ice cream or caramel
