The Forty Acres Fresh Market Recipe Cards Go Digital
If you are a long time Forty Acres Fresh Market customer you may remember the original recipe cards given away at our popup markets and included in produce boxes. Provided by local chefs and caterers, these recipes helped spark culinary inspiration in our customers.
Since launching Forty Acres produce delivery subscriptions, we promised every box would come with a recipe card. What’s the point of getting a box of fresh produce if you don’t know what to do with half of it?
We printed thousands of cards for almost a dozen recipes and included one in each produce box. But to be honest, our attempts to make your life easier, made operations much harder for the Forty Acres team.
Between constantly printing and sifting through a box with thousands of different cards just to find one that remotely fit the contents of a box, it was a pain in the a$$ to manage. Plus, from all of the cards left in the returned empty bags our drivers pick up along the route we could tell that many of you were over their fiftyleventh Apple Chip recipe card.
So earlier this year when the recipe cards ran out, we made the decision to not reprint any more. Instead we included this lovely dual sided "Thank You" card in the box, which includes a link to Forty Acres Fresh Market's entire online recipe repository.
As great as these new handouts are, we forgot something pretty important. We never put any of the recipe cards online.
Until now! We are starting simple with the original Apple Chips recipe from our friends at Chicago Style Vegan.
