Forty Acres Fresh Market is an independent, Black woman owned grocery business at the forefront of Chicago's healthy food access movement. We specialize in selling high quality fresh produce at an everyday low price. Founded in response to the lack of fresh food options on Chicago's West Side, we currently operate as a mobile grocer, running seasonal pop-up markets and year round produce delivery service.

Forty Acres Fresh Market is a business with a mission to increase access to affordable, high quality, fresh food in underserved areas. We believe in the power of communities to develop, build, and sustain their own resources and are proud to be part of economic revitalization on Chicago's westside. Food is the foundation of good health. Access to fresh, whole, nutrient dense food should be easy for everyone. Unfortunately, for hundreds of thousands of Chicagoland residents it is nearly impossible to find affordable healthy food in their communities

We have found a home for our store (5713 W. Chicago Ave.) and  are currently under construction.
